Grace Elaine (Folk) Sallstrom
Grace Elaine Folk Sallstrom, 85, entered into the rest of the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Liberty Heights in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Grace was born May 6, 1932 in Mullen, Nebraska to Charles and Pauline Folk. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in Nebraska.
Grace met Martin David (Dave) Sallstrom at the First Christian Church in Scottsbluff. They married on June 15, 1951 and lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Grace worked part-time for Avon. While living in Cheyenne she worked in hospital administration and for the Bureau of Land Management. Grace and Dave became snowbirds - living in Casper, Wyoming during the summer and Yuma, Arizona in winter. In August 2016, Grace moved from Casper to Colorado Springs, CO.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Dave, sister Mary Lou Schenck, and granddaughter Kayla McQuade. She is survived by siblings, Kathryn (Ernie) Rodriguez, Gary (Janet) Folk and Larry (Diane) Folk, her children, Mary (Joseph) McQuade, Janice (Terry) Canipe and Richard (Paula) Sallstrom, 21 grandchildren and 62 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Colorado Springs on June 30, 2018 at Academy Christian Church, 1635 Old Ranch Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80908, at 2:00 pm.
