Gregory Piechota Obituary
Gregory J. Piechota, 59 of Bath, PA passed peacefully into his eternal home Sunday, November 10, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was the husband of Joanne (Hedrick) Piechota, together they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary this May 6, 2013, but they have enjoyed each others companionship since 1982. Born in Bethlehem, PA he was the son of the late Stanley Piechota and Mary (Michaels) Piechota of Bethlehem, PA. He was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem. Gregory was the Owner / Operator of Piechotas Hanover Collision and Service Center, Allentown, PA since 1978, as well as a towing specialist for over 35 years. He also owned and operated American Rental Equipment since 2006 with two locations, Allentown and Lehighton. In addition he also Owned and Operated American Land Care and Piechotas Snow & Ice Control, along with being the areas Western Snow plow dealer. A few years before he and his wife Joanne together ran J. Breisch Trucking Co. for five years 1988-1993. Gregory had a passion for the outdoors enjoying boating and fishing at Lake Ontario, Palaski, NY and deep sea fishing in Sandy Hook, NJ as well as hunting and hobby farming. He took up many hobbies including canning, Butcher shop meat processing, and Stock Trading. In his earlier years he drove modified stock cars at Dorney Park and Evergreen Raceways. He also enjoyed being PAP to his grandchildren. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife and mother; are a son, Michael W. Piechota of Allentown, PA; a daughter; Jennifer L. wife of Carlos Almourani of Allentown, PA; stepdaughter, Jami R. wife of Rick Derr, Jr. of Coopersburg, PA; stepson, Brad W. Breisch and Fiancee Lynn Jeffries of St. Clairesville, OH; two sisters, Janet wife of James Fandl of Bethlehem, PA, Joanie wife of Forrest Voytko of Nazareth, PA; brother, Mark Piechota of Bethlehem, PA; five grandchildren, Dylan, Skyler, and Jordan Piechota, Kaylee Glanz, and Nevin Almourani; and nieces and nephews. Services: A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mt. Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035 with the Rev. Kevin L. Fetterhoff and Rev. Dwight Mikesell officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013, and Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. both at Bethany Wesleyan Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
