Gwenda Rosebush Obituary

Rosebush
Gwenda Marlane (Montgomery) Rosebush
August 18, 1956 - October 23, 2017
Gwenda Marlane Montgomery Rosebush, 61, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 18, 1956 to Clarence Leon, Jr. and Nina (Ross) Montgomery.
She passed away from primary peritoneal cancer on October 23, 2017 in Monument, Colorado.
She graduated from Kaiserslautern High School (Germany) in 1974, and received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Maine in 1995.
Gwenda was a world traveler; born from Air Force parents and then married in 1976 to an Air Force husband (Mike Rosebush), she relocated over thirty times before planting firm roots in Monument, Colorado in 1995.
Gwenda was first and foremost a dedicated wife, mom, and "Nana". She and her husband Mike were married on September 12, 1976. They loved to travel, shared a faith in Christ, and were forever friends. As a stay-at-home mom to her two children Clint and Krista, she was known for implementing "family nights" and traditions, hosting memorable dinners, capturing family pictures, attending every imaginable school/sporting event, and imparting wisdom, respect, and a love for Jesus. To her seven grandchildren, she was the ever-playful Nana; always available for fun, crafts, snacks, and kisses.
Gwenda was also a librarian at both Palmer Lake and Monument, Colorado. Gwenda's radiant smile, quick-witted-one-line humor, caring heart, and servant spirit made her a friend to anyone. Her hobby and passion was genealogy, as she became not only the family historian, but also a mentor to many who wanted information. Gwenda was always ready with the right answer and a warm smile; she was loved by thousands.
Gwenda is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Catherine (Womble) Montgomery; maternal grandparents, Manford LeRoy and Thelma (Tecklenburg) Ross; and her father, Clarence Montgomery, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Nina Montgomery; her siblings, Wesley (Arlene) Montgomery and Gina (former husband John) Delaney; her husband, Michael Alan Rosebush; her children, Clint Michael (Kelly) Rosebush, and Krista Denise (Eric) Bogenrief; and her grandchildren, Zachariah, Oliver, Naomi, and Micah Rosebush, and Bridgette, Isaac, and Adelyn Bogenrief.
Private Interment at the United States Air Force Academy Cemetery will be conducted.
