Harold Darlage Obituary
Mr. Darlage was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Seymour. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, which included serving in Germany. He also served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a building contractor.
Born Jan. 31, 1933, in Brownstown, he was the son of Clarence and Verna Pollert Darlage, both of whom preceded him in death. On June 5, 1955, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wegan, he married Elberta M. Wessel, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Criag (Holli) Darlage and Todd Darlage, both of Brownstown; one daughter, Stacey (Tom) Allman of Brownstown; two brothers, Donald (Virginia) Darlage of Seymour and Roy (Elberta) Darlage of Vallonia; one sister, Shirley (Fred Jr.) Stuckwisch of Brownstown; five grandchildren, Justin (Angela) Darlage, Brandon (Amanda) Allman, Trent (Brittany) Darlage, Tyler Darlage and Paige Allman; and three great-grandchildren, Cole Darlage, Madison Darlage and Adalynn Darlage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Dan and Mabel Wessel; and in-laws, Norris Gene and Thelma Wessel, Charles and Betty Zaring, and Earl and Eleine Lephart.
Pastor Scott Roberts and Pastor Jeff Geisler will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc., Brownstown. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wegan.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund or Lutheran Central School.
