On Saturday, March 6th, 2021, Harriet Miller, loving mother, sister and friend passed away at age 70.



Harriet was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Harry and Angelina Gwaltney. She moved to Colorado Springs in the late 1980's where she was employed with Classic Homes for thirty years. She retired in 2017.



Harriet was a fierce fighter for justice and fairness for all. She spearheaded the fundraising campaigns for the United Way while employed at Classic. She also contributed to many charities throughout her life including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Capital Sisters International, an organization that helps women in third world countries become entrepreneurs. Harriet was an avid golfer and a relentless student of life. She was known by all for her quick wit, infectious smile and compassionate spirit.





Harriet was preceded in death by her father, Harry, mother Angelina and sister Pat. She is survived by her son Jeffery Allen and her two sisters Cheryle Hartig and Carol Gwaltney along with her two "grandaughters" Alexandra and Izabella Montez. She also leaves behind countless friends and former coworkers whom she loved and adored and they in turn loved and adored her too.





A celebration of her life will be held on July 11th at The Flying Horse Ranch, 9663 E. Palmer Divide Ave., Larkspur, Colorado 80118. The memorial begins at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to either the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at ocrahope.org or to The Flying Horse Foundation at flyinghorsefoundation.org.
