Resident of Naples, FL
Having fought a brave and valiant battle with cancer, he passed away in Rionegro, Columbia with family at his side. Born in Lykabettos, Greece he followed his dream and came to America in 1953. He sailed to this land of freedom and prosperity at the young age of 27 with little more than a pocket full of change and began the bold and adventurous journey of a Greek dreamer. His hope was simply that love, trust, and true care for the fellow human being find some fertile ground in today's world and spread seeds to improve the present way of life of some people. Preceded in death by son Steven, may they now have a chance to meet again. Survived by wife Marta, children John (Jennifer), Eric (Julie), Mauricio Polacio (Hope), Ana Marie Gamez (Joe), grandchildren Ryan, Tyler, Michael (Amy), Amanda, Melissa, Nicholas, Felicia, Patrick, Ryan, Sabrina, Hailey, Logan, and Lucas. Expected great-granddaughter Madison Apr. '13. He will be cremated and his ashes spread on the Caribbean Sea by Cartagena, Columbia as per his wishes. As the sea brought him to us so shall it take him home. We love you Pop/Papou.
