HEATHER HARE Obituary

HEATHER JOY HARE was born on November 15, 1978 and met her Savior on August 10, 2012. Her life was a miracle from the day she was born and she was a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Colleen Hare of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister and two brothers and their families, Melissa and Oleg Oleinic of Great Falls, MT, David and Stacey Hare of Dallas, TX and Jonathan Hare of Louisville, KY; grandparents, William and Sallee McCrea of Colorado Springs, CO; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. "Heather Joy" means "flower of delight." She brought such great joy to all of us and now, no doubt, to Heaven. She lived and loved with childlike faith and impacted our lives for all eternity. Good night, darling girl, we will see you in the morning. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 16 at 10:30a.m. at the Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel, 4285 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Memorial gifts may be sent to Compassion International: 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.

I've enjoyed several memories of Heather these past few weeks. She was in the hospitol with us the day after Mitchell was born and just lite up every time we talked about her niece that was on the way. I also spent about an hour talking to her the day before she passed away. She was so cheerful. I asked her about trips to Helena, the fires in colorado and how her parents were doing. She smiled and said, "Oh, they're good. I just talked to them on the phone the other day." I'm so thankful we had the priveledge of learning to know her and be blessed by her cheerfulness and tender heart. I rejoice in her present state and pray often for your family as you adjust and grow in trusting God to comfort you daily. Much Love.

Dear Melissa and Family: I just wanted you to know I'm praying for you during this difficult time. Heather was so sweet and I'm so glad I got to be in a Bible study with her. I know you will miss her but just knowing she's with the Lord and you'll get to see her again someday will be very comforting to you. God will bring comfort to you too! He's just wonderful in that way! Love in Christ Jan Stoick

We have been so blessed by Heather and her sweet personality. She has sat with us during church while she visited at EBC in MT. We were also blessed by other times of fellowship with Heather too, like the dinner theater. Zoe loved that Heather's favorite color was pink as well, and Heather Loved to show Zoe her pink pencil and pink notebook, and of course her pink bible. Zoe wanted me to let you know that she will miss Ms. Heather too. We will miss her, but we look forward to the day where we know we will be greeted by her beautiful smile in Heaven, and we will join her in worshipping our Great God!
Praying for your family.

I remember meeting Heather one time at TCA and was touched by her sweet spirit, but I knew her mother has that exact same sweet spirit. I'm sure that's not just a coincidence. I am happy to know she's in God's arms now, but also know how much she'll be missed by her family and friends. May God grant all with His peace, comfort, and many wonderful memories.

Our hearts grieve with you. Jon and Dave, you've honored your sister by speaking so highly of her faith in Jesus to us. We know the tremendous impact she had on your lives-you are compassionate, more tender men because of God's kindness to give you Heather. I look forward to meeting her... Love to you all.

Dear Hare Family - I am so saddened to hear of Heather's passing. Heather worked for me at Target while job shadowing there years ago. I loved her great personality. She gave me a glimpse of what the teen and young adult years would look like for our Natalie. She always came to say hello when she saw us at Special Olympic events. What a smile - I will not forget her. May God's grace, peace and comfort surround you.

Those who weave color into our lives leave us with a tapestry of beautiful memories. May the memories you've kept tucked away in your heart wrap you with comfort and bring you a special peace. Thinking of you and asking the Lord to strengthen your heart and comfort your soul. Heather will be in our hearts forever.
