I volunteered with Helen at the Friends of the Manitou Carnegie Library. She was always a fun person with great conversation! She loved reading and had a wonderful way of thinking about her books, her life, and using her experience to advise us younger folks on what we might try next! Her passing makes the world a little less bright. Deepest condolences to the family. You are so lucky to have had her for all these years!
Jean Lewis Gabardi, Manitou resident.
