Helene Weber Obituary

Helene B. Weber Resident of Lafayette, CA Helene B. Weber passed away on July 21, 2014, at the age of 83. Born in San Francisco, CA, she was a resident of Contra Costa County for 57 years, living in Lafayette for 51 years. Helene had a career as a social worker for almost 40 years., working for Alameda County, the Head Start program, Contra Costa County, and Kaiser Hospital. She was a member of Temple Isaiah, Hadassah, NASW and the Lafayette Democratic Club. Helene was predeceased by her husband Howard, who died in 2004. She is survived by her three daughters, Roberta Weber (Michelle Guandalini). Susan Weber (Larry Hoffman) and Margo Weber. She was a loving grandmother to Mara Weber-Appleton, Gabby Sandman, Noah Hoffman & Tim Guandalini. She was the sister of Herbert Berkowitz, who predeceased her on July 3, 2014. She was a sister-in-law to Carol Berkowitz, Ruth Haber, Arthur and Judy Weber. Helene is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Temple Isaiah and Oakmont Cemetery at 11 am on July 24, 2014. Donations may be made in her name to Diablo Valley Hadassah and Temple Isaiah.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. Helene was our social worker and assisted us with both our adoptions of our wonderful son and daughter. She was so very kind and helpful. We've always remembered her fondly and so thankfully.
