Henry Schilberg Obituary

Henry Schilberg, age 43, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and formerly of Salem, South Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at his residence in Colorado. Funeral services are Friday, June 10, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at the Salem United Church, Salem, SD with Rev. Oryn Meinerts officiating. Visitations will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the Salem United Church in Salem and will resume one hour prior to service at the Church. Burial will be in the Emery Community Cemetery in Emery, SD. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, and SD. Henry was born July 23, 1961 at Mitchell, SD to William Louis and Vera I. (Janssen) Schilberg. They lived in Alexandria, SD until 1973 when the family moved to Salem, SD. He graduated from Salem High School in 1979. He lived in Watertown, SD and attended Northeast Vo-Tech.  In 1988, he moved to Colorado Springs, CO. He worked for the Hotsy Corporation and presently worked for Springs Fabrications. His leisure time passions were Master Dart League and NHRA. He is survived by three sisters: Mary L. Shultz of Ontario, CA, Ruth E. Schilberg of Grand Prairie, TX, and Doris (Steve) Sprecher of Yankton, SD; two nieces: Stephanie (Jerrod) Deneke of Spalding, IA and Stacey Sprecher of Beaverton, OR; and one nephew, Jon Sprecher of Yankton, SD. His parents, one brother, one sister, and one nephew preceded him in death.
