Herman Heuser Obituary

Herman Lee Heuser, 88, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13, 2008. Herman was born on May 2, 1920 in Arcola, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri at the young age of 18. While in the military during World War II, he earned his Master's Degree in Science Education at USC and subsequently a second Master's Degree in Higher Mathematics at UCLA. His first wife Dorothy passed away in 1978. After an enjoyable career in teaching, he met his devoted wife June in Colorado Springs. They met playing bridge and have been enjoying the game ever since. Herman and June moved to Sun City West in 1983 and joined the Kiva West Duplicate Bridge Club. He has been teaching bridge for 24 years, both in the classroom and on over 60 cruises. Herman is survived by his loving wife June of 28 years, his daughter Mary Parker, son-in-law Michael and grandson Michael of Alamo, California, as well as his stepson Mark Briggs, daughter-in-law Cindy and grandson Dyllon of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Herman is also survived by his brother Donald in the Philippines, his sister in law Sarah Heuser, Nephews Barkley, Gordon, Charles, and David Heuser and Niece Sarah Horn.
