Herman Kanis Obituary

Herman A. Kanis, beloved husband and father passed away peacefully on July 22, 2011, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Morristown, North Dakota, January 31, 1924, child of Arie and Janette. Herman is most proud of his military service in World War II and Korea. During his working career he taught business administration, owned and operated an auto parts business and owned a Farmers Insurance Agency until retirement. Herman enjoyed building houses. He built houses in Texas and his retirement residence in Colorado Springs. His family and friends were very proud of his ability to build. He leaves behind his wife Ann and his son Jeff to cherish his memory. Herman also leaves behind cousins throughout the Midwest and many nieces and nephews. There will be grave side services at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday July 26th. Any memorial should be given to the Gateway Presbyterian Church, 731 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.
