Hi to you my Big Bro! Its your baby sis! Still miss you all the time and tears come fresh as the ache of losing you is still in my heart. On days when the sky is bright blue and there are a few cumulous clouds passing by, I look up and wonder which one you might be riding on! One day, we will be on those clouds together, until then, I will keep you close to my heart! Love to you~

My dear big brother it seems silly but I have your picture with your life history on my visor in my van. That way I can see you every time I go somewhere and you go with me. You have been to a lot of interesting places let me tell you. So many things have happened and changed since you have been gone. There isn't a time when us siblings get together that you aren't missed. It does comfort me that we were able to have you next to Dad, Mom, and Linda. Love you now and forever.

Hi Big Bro! 6 years have passed since we had to let you go. Each year, on your birthday, I buy you a yellow balloon and release it to the sky, hoping your are looking down, watching it float up to you. Silly thought, I know, but it brings me a bit of comfort to do this. After all, yellow was your favorite color and who doesn't love a balloon, right? I hope you, Mom, Dad, Linda and David's Kristy are all together now. Give them all a big hello from the rest of the family. You all are often in our thoughts, we love and miss each one of you. Love, baby sis!

Hi my Big Bro!
Yesterday was one year since you were taken so quickly from us. My heart still aches and tears come to my eyes when I think of you. Along with those tears, also comes the feeling of being grateful for having such a wonderful big brother. Lonny and I walked out to the field and set two, bright yellow balloons free in your honor. We watched as they floated up, disappearing into the clouds. The day was cloudy and windy, much like the day we let the balloons go in your honor at Pike's Peak. Here's to you, Howard! I hope you caught a balloon! :)

Hello to my dear Big Brother. Months have passes but you remain on my mind. When I think of you, your smile comes to mind. You always had such an easy smile and a laid back easy way about you.
Pam and I attended The Celebration of your life this week. Many wonderful pictures of you, some that I hadn't ever seen! Your motorcycle gear is being well taken care of by Arlene!
Many of your friends were there to celebrate your life. Many shared some wonderful stories about you, some made us cry and some made us chuckle and smile! One thing was very clear, you were very much loved and respected by all. You were a great, kind friend to many. Your best friend Tim had many kind words to share as well as a wonderful poem. It would be wonderful if he could write that here and share with all. It was a perfect tribute to you!
Many hugs to you! I know you are taking care of Dad and sister Linda.
We are looking out for each other down here. I love you!

My dear big Brother, a day doesn't go by that I don't think of you. Christmas was hard as my other sisters wrote to you. I remember you being Santa and Doreen and I looking for the big guy. We talked about it when we were all together at the reunion and laughing. Ah the wonderful memories. We all were cheated out so much of being able to grow up together through nobody's fault. Sibling rivalries and fun times would have been nice to share. You were taken too soon from us. Just when we were getting in our later years, kids grown up and being able to find the time to enjoy being sisters and brothers. I love you dearly. Love middle sis, Pam.

Merry Christmas Howard!
Here we are, approaching Xmas Eve and you are on my mind. One of my favorite memories is when I was just a little girl and you would go around the outside of the house at night, knocking on the windows, pretending to be Santa Claus! The older kids would play along and 'pretend' that they had heard sleigh bells or that they 'saw Santa' by getting to the window just a bit ahead of me! I would run around from window to window, trying to get a glimpse of the red coat and white beard. How exciting that was!! Of course, as I got older, I learned who it really was! Thank you for giving me that memory to cherish!
I hope you are at peace, spending Xmas with Dad and Linda. Merry Christmas. I love you!

I had the privilege to know Howard for many years from our old school - NDSD, and also Gallaudet University. He and I always had the pleasure of talking on different topics. He was a real cool and easy going person to be with anyone. The last time we had a chat was at the Gallaudet Reunion last July. I really miss him. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Lots of thoughts and prayers to Arlene and to Howard's siblings. It sure was hard on us all to accept that he is no longer with us anymore but in our hearts, thoughts and prayers from day after day, month after month and many years to come by. We loved you so much. We lost our Big Brother, father, uncle, grandpa, that we will never forget you, we were very glad and happy that you were part of our family. We all will treasure all the memories that we had with him when he either visited us in the past and we got together several times at Family Reunions in the past. It was really worth the effort we got together during many family reunions that happened in the past. Yes Howard, there is and always an empty spot in our family now that I can't accept that we have a empty spot now. I was glad Howard and Arlene had stayed around my house for a little more than a week after the 150th Anniversary at Gallaudet University this past few months ago. It sure was not enough time but I wished that week was a month instead. I was glad Howard, Arlene and I had taken few days riding two motorcycles around Calvert County that he really enjoyed the slow touring ride, seeing the Chesapeake Bay and other sites.
No greatest words can express the loss we all felt with your absence that was so quickly shocked us all. Howard truly did a lot of great yard work, fixing up his backyard to enjoy it for many years but his time came short and I believe he wished to stay there longer as he aged with Arlene and see us more often. I am glad Howard had taken the skydiving jump video that will kept us all watching your happiness and your most enjoyable part that really made you very excited by dropped from the heavens.
May our Big Brother Howard rest in peace with our huge hugs and LOVE. Big Brother Howard, you will always live in our hearts and prayers.
XOXOXO ILY!!! Baby Brother David

Thought of Howard and Arlene, wonderful deaf couple as husband and wife. David's dear brother Howard RIP. I am so glad to met Howard and Arlene at Wisconsin in 2012 with David and we had so much fun. We may have to let go, but we never have to forget Howard will stay forever in our hearts. Please accept my condolences, just know that I am here for you and don't hesitate to reach out, especially during this difficult time. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the souls of your loved one rest in peace. Hugs.

Message to my big brother.
My heart aches to know you can't be here with us any longer. I am so lucky and blessed to have had you as my big brother! Some of the tears had slowed but I will always hold you within my heart and when I think of you I will smile and remember what a great guy you were! You had such an easy going nature and I envy how you were always able to enjoy life.
I know this is a 'guest book', that I have signed 3 times now, but I find it comforting to write in this book. I feel as tho I'm talking to you and that you can hear me. I feel close to you here. A big hug to you-I love you!

Sad note when mass e-mailing for us siblings---someone is missing :(
Wanted to share some thoughts I was having while in Colorado and would not have been able to talk about it lest would bawl and never get it told.
Did you notice:
While @ Garden of the Gods it started to drop rain and then we went to the car and as we were driving away--it poured. I was thinking Howard is so sad that he is not with us at one of his favorite spots. He's crying very hard.
Pikes Peak---Rained after we arrived. Slow rain but none the less---rain drops . I was thinking
Howard is crying again that he is not with us in human form to enjoy one of his favorite spots. Nonetheless, he was there in spirit, in the form of raindrops.
During the funeral visit--------It rained while we were visiting him in human form and he was letting us know that he will miss us as much as we will miss him. Then as we drove to his house/motel for some of us, it sputtered rain drops enough that we had to use the wipers. (Again I felt his spirit in the form of rain drops.)
I do not wish you make you cry but I have been holding this back since then and felt I should share.
Howard: May God hold you in his arms until we meet again! Miss you each and every day!
Keller Family: May you find comfort in knowing that Howard, our brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle, is being very well taken care of.
Love to one and all, Brenda M. (sister)

No words can express the loss I feel with your absence. You are my big brother. I will treasure so many memories of our times together from the time I was a little girl waiting for you to come home for a visit, listening for the sound of your motorcycle to our ride on the roller coaster at Valley Fair. My fondest memory is when it was just you and me "against all odds" climbing Mt. Democrat making it to the top so many years ago. You being used to the thin air and laughing with me when we would have to take a break for me to catch my breath. You have given me so many new experiences in my life and brought out the adventurous side of me. Your love of life and seeing new things is so inspiring. You are seeing and experiencing new things now with Dad and our sister. I will miss you terribly. I love you big brother, my arms are around you forever.

There's an empty spot in our family now, we've lost you, our big brother.I wish so much you were still with us. I am so very thankful that you were home to visit just a few short weeks ago. Whenever I need to feel close to you, I will watch the skydive video and remember the last days we shared together. I will see your smile and know that you are still with us. We don't know why God chose you, maybe he needed you to watch over Dad and sister Linda.I will always remember that long hug we had in my kitchen, we cried tears of having to part ways, the words you told me that day will always be in my heart. I love you so very much.

Life on Earth is what WE make of it but life ever after is what HE makes for us. I am not sure why you had to leave us so early but HE must have needed you. The wonderful memories that we have built through the years will always pop up in our daily lives as something will trigger that memory. I will always remember you rubbing your chin with that guilty look that you were up to something. We were just together a month ago and now when I witness a skydiver, I will say, "You know what? That is my Big Brother, our Guardian Angel, flying below the heavens to keep an eye on us."
LOVE YOU MISS YOU XXOO
We will be together again some day jumping from cloud to cloud causing some ruckus.
