I cannot describe in words the horrible loss you experienced late last year. I have great faith your son is in the Kingdom of Heaven awaiting you. Life is so short and pray that you never lose hope and just remember the good times you had with your son Ian on this Earth. He will always be with you in heart and memory. God Bless you Susan and so sorry for your loss.

A child is a precious miracle that brings unmatched beauty to the world. Even as Ian takes his place with the angles we will always have the special love that only a baby boy can bring to us. During the short space in time that we share, it seems that there are but a few moment that make a life wonderful, Ian was one special moment. We should celebrate this excitement and love as long as we draw a breath.
We will miss you baby boy!!!

Ian, I believe, would change the views of people who underestimate the human heart. So many people nowadays are falling pray to a quickly spreading virus of ignorance. He was always kindhearted, and he never gave in to that same kind of ignorance. He was always nice. When he was with us back on the east coast, i had the joy of spending quite a few days with him. He was quiet, yet at the same time he still managed to be amazingly fun to hang around. For my few weeks with him he taught me many things about the world. He was definitely up to date on current events. He was so patient. It was amazing to see even around the most obnoxious people he could keep his cool. He was a good person. He definitely has a special place in heaven waiting for him. And I will sincerely miss him, even though I feel like only knew him for a few weeks.

Never Forgotten

March 5, 2010

I know that Ian is in a good place. A man that genuine, kind-hearted and loving is walking side by side with Jesus. If there is a Knights of the Round Table in Heaven, Ian is sitting at it. Ian is a great example of a real hero, and most men will never be one-tenth of the man Ian was.

Ian is still very much a part of our lives...it is hard to go anywhere without thinking how he would have enjoyed it, listening to music is forever changed now, and so many lives will never be the same as before...but all of this is evidence of the impact he made on us all, how much love and kindness he left with us, reminding us that he is not far away...

March 3, 2010

We will never forget that smile...we will never forget the laugh...his hands with strength and kindness, guiding us away from the bad. We will never forget his knowledge, that taught us how to live...and we will never forget his ability to make us all love...

My heart breaks for the heartache you are all experiencing at this time. Although I knew Ian for a short while, he was an outstanding young man. He had manners that most men his age don't possess. He opened doors for women, held the chair out when they sat, and was a gentleman at all times. What a rare quality!
Ian will be missed. May God's warmth touch you all at this time of your need.
In loving memory of Ian...
