Grammy taught me how to body surf in New Smyrna Beach, I skill that I have used from California to Costa Rica. She always made chores fun, like picking up pine cones around her yard by tossing them like basketballs into the trash can. She loved family game night and always treated everyone she met with dignity and respect. Grammy taught me so much through her actions and also through her words, "if you can't say something nice about a person, then don't say anything at all." I will always remember what a sweet and wonderful person she was in my life and will continue to inspire me and my children. Love you, miss you, thank you lord, for the gift of Ida.

Aunt Ida was always so sweet. I will always remember staying over at her house on Hernandez st. in Pensacola and the good times I had visiting.
God bless you all.

Hi Mom,
Missing you too much and being selfish. Wish I could call you!!! Going thru all the family history books you gave me. Wearing Dad's heart necklace and your ring on my neck since I left; with love in my heart...
