Madge Craft Obituary

Madge Craft, 91, of Seymour and formerly of Batavia, Ohio, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Hoosier Christian Village.
Mrs. Craft was a member of First Baptist Church, Glen Este, Ohio. She moved to Jackson County from Batavia, Ohio, in 1994. She was a retired teacher.
Born Dec. 16, 1916, in Mayking, Ky., she was a daughter of Lawrence and Cornelia Craft Adams, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 19, 1937, in Mayking, Ky., she married Orville Craft, who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1995.
Survivors include her daughters, Jewell (Baxter) Hamblin and Peggy (Ron) Fields; four grandchildren, Hope (Tim), J.B. (Denise), Heidi (Randall) and Amy (Roy); 10 great-grandchildren, Madison, Clayton, Mackenzie, Mason, Meredith, Miller, Ashlyn, Audrey, Adam and Aaron; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Summers.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The Rev. Bruce Cochran will conduct funeral services at 6 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at Webb Cemetery, Mayking, Ky.
Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church.
