Isaac J. Elias
Isaac J. Elias, 98, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Sayde (Mourani) Elias for 50 years, and the late Mary (Domenic) Elias, who died in 1960. Born in Amar, Syria, he was a son of the late Ayoub and Hasibe (Charles) Elias. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army, then was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1977. He was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Survivors: Wife; sons, Jim and his wife, Linda, of Coopersburg, David and his wife, Nathalie, of Hanover Twp., and Dan of Northampton; three granddaughters, Reina, Maya, and Kayla. Services: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 27, in Ss. Simon and Jude Church, followed by burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, in the church. Arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
