Isabel Wright Obituary

Isabel Wright, 81, a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, CO., passed away June 13, 2006 at her home in Colorado Springs. Mrs. Wright was born, August 10, 1924 in Socorro, NM to her parents, David and Lola Armijo, both deceased. She is survived by four sons: Lawrence Stoker (Gloria), Daniel Wright (Judy), Michael Wright (Kathy) and Victor Wright; two daughters: Helen Blowe (David) and Susie Johnson; three stepsons: Tommy Stoker (Diane), David Stoker and Chuck Stoker; two brothers; and two sisters. Isabel was blessed with 41 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alpha Wright; daughter, Dolores Smith; mother-in-law, Susie Perkins; granddaughter, Shanelle Stoker; great-grandson, Silas Rahmings; and four sisters: Rosella, Sally, Priscilla and Ramona of Albuquerque, N.M. Mrs. Wright resided in Colorado Springs for 64 years where she worked as a Wool Presser. She retired early to raise several of her grandchildren to ensure that they would be safe. She was also instrumental in raising them in the Catholic faith. She was a hardworking woman who cared for her husband, seven children, the neighborhood children and any homeless or hungry person that came around. She had a very kind and generous heart and always put her family's wants and needs before her own. Her family was her whole life and she, theirs. Her family was so blessed to have her in their lives and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. There will be a viewing and Rosary held at Angelus Funeral Home, 2535 Airport Road on Friday, June 23, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 331 Main Street, Security, CO.
