Ivan was a fellow member of the Augustana Class of 1958. He also served as pastor of Augustana, Denver, where Paul Noren preceded him. Paul was my intern supervisor in 1956-57. Ivan, like me, was an older member of the class and a really solid and great man. As the old liturgy put it, "We are again reminded that we have here no abiding city. . . ." Edie and I pray that the Lord of Easter, who was the source of his faith and the strength of his life, will support and comfort Shirle and other loved ones.

Pastor Ivan officiated and sang "The Lords Prayer "at both my sister's and my wedding at Augustana. We both cherish the memory of him and his special gifts. We know he will spending this Easter with our Lord and Savior.
Blessings to Shirlie and the family.

Shirle and family,
I have many wonderful memories of Pastor Ivan from the 10 years I was a member of Augustana (1976 -1986). I especially remember when he portrayed King Nebechenezzer in "Cool in the Furnace" with the Senior Elite choir. My mother, Dorothea Andersen, thought highly of him and considered him a good friend and pastor. He was a delight to know. May God be with you now and always. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
