I just learned of Steve´s passing last October. I am sorry I missed his service. Steve was one of the first persons to welcome me when I joined the DA´s office in 1973. I remember our traveling to Cripple Creek to hear the closing arguments in a notorious murder case that had just concluded. I believe I wound up taking Steves office shortly thereafter when he left for private practice. More recently, we had planned to play in a golf tournament at CC of C. Though I didn´t see a lot of Steve over the years, I retained a great deal of respect for him, his ethics and his ability. He will be missed by many. My sincere sympathy to Steve´s family and many friends.
