Jack Montgomery Terry, age 81, of Colorado Springs passed away on Tuesday, November 18. Jack was born on May 9, 1944 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Jack M. Terry Sr. and Rebecca Redwine Terry. He had one sister, Linda Sikora. Jack grew up in multiple places including Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia and Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1967 and began his career as an educator. He met Joyce Elizabeth Reynolds and they married on June 12, 1971 in Phoenix, Arizona. Together they moved to Colorado Springs in 1972 and began a family of two children: Joanna Lyn Terry and Chad Montgomery Terry. Jack loved being in the mountains and spending time at the family cabin outside of Buena Vista, CO. He especially enjoyed catching fish and 4 wheeling with his family as well as woodturning. He is survived by wife Joyce and son Chad. He is preceded in passing by his parents Jack and Rebecca, sister Linda and his daughter Joanna.
Services will be held in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs at 2:00 p.m. on December 11, 2025. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care and/or First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs.
