Jacqueline Pope Obituary

Bonnie Pope, age 67, passed away on August 15, 2007 after a brief illness in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bonnie was born in Wilmette, Illinois to Edward and Margaret (Stelling) Kent on May 20, 1940. Bonnie was a 24 year resident of Colorado Springs and also resided in Missouri and California. She was a water skiing champion in Eagle River, Wisconsin as well as an avid traveler throughout the United States and Europe. Bonnie was a member of The Red Hat Society and also enjoyed participating in water aerobics at the Manitou swimming pool. She enjoyed working in her garden and sharing that pleasure with her grandchildren and neighbors. Bonnie will be greatly missed by her children, Stacy Kirkham, Laura (Jon) Anderson, Lisa Tubbs and Scott Pope, sister Laurie (Pete) Fahrendorf, grandchildren Ryan and Justin Kirkham, Tyler and Kyle Tubbs, Ashley and Nicole Anderson, and step- grandchildren Cody Kirkham and Kodie Tubbs, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Robert (Beth) Kent, Edward Kent Jr. and sister Barbara (Alphonse) Soudan. Visitation and Mass were held August 22, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 East Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
