James Bailey Obituary

Jim, a long time resident of Colorado Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Over the past several days, we've learned that Jim's quiet, honest life touched other peoples' lives in many special ways. Jim is survived by his wife and best friend, Cynthia (Cymmie) Phelan Bailey; his cherished daughter, Megan Bailey; his mother, Barbara Bailey; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Barry Hendron; and his brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Tammy Bailey. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Don Bailey. As Jim's friends and family, we feel honored to have shared his life. We miss Jim very much, and he will always be loved. We're heart-broken that we had to say our earthly good-byes so soon. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made, in Jim's name, to the Pikes Peak Humane Society. Jim's cats Sasha and Sunny were lovingly adopted there, as were many of his feline friends over the years.

Dear Cymmie and Family
Our hearts reach out to you in love and sympathy. We had some fun times. One of my favorites was when you, Jim, Scot, Bev and I went on our road trip after our West Coast Cruise. I road with you and Jim and he gave us a running commentary of where we were and what we were seeing and what we would see. Boy could he talk!! But it was really interesting. I will never forget the Madonna Inn and Hearst Castle. Jim had a dry sense of humor, never knew if he was serious or just kidding. We are so glad that you had all those years together and can look back on your good memories to give strength at this time.
We send our love and sympathy to all of you.
