James (Jim) Barlow of Woodland Park, Colorado passed away on Thursday August 19, 2021 at the age of 77.
Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy, son Shane Barlow (Brenda), daughter Sloane Opheim (Matt) Granddaughter, Logan and Grandson, David.
Jim was born in Storm Lake, Iowa to John and Ruth Barlow and grew up in Alta and Fonda, Iowa. He then moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa and entered the National Guard. He lived in Fort Dodge for many years and pursued a career as a Barber. Jim barbered for 59 years in Iowa and Colorado and enjoyed getting to know all of his clients on a personal level.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish and he was a competitive trap shooter, winning several tournaments below his age group. Jim loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events, and rarely missed a basketball game or a wrestling match.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda and brother, Steve.
