Bettye, we worked together for a long time and I always enjoyed seeing your smile when you came in to work every morning. I didn't know James, but I know that if he was married to you, he was something special. Just looking at his picture here, I can see the joy of life in his face. I feel so sad to hear about your loss. I will say a prayer for peace for you and your family.

Grandma I love and miss you guys & I'm so sorry that I could not make it. I'm very sad that granddad is gone & that the rest of us left here will miss him greatly. However, we can all find joy, peace, and comfort in God & the fact the granddad isn't suffering anymore. You are in my families prayers. I love you.

With great sadness hearing of James' passing. Our floors had never been so clean when he was here at NORAD with us! Now it's time to shine elsewhere as he enters into another journey. He will be greatly missed! Thoughts & prayers to his family.

To the Battle family, I am deeply sorry for your lose. I knew James up here at CMAFS for about 5 years that I worked. He was an awesome, cool, laid back kind of guy that really put his all into what he was doing. We had some laughs and he was one of my closes friends, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you all in your time of grief. Keep your heads up and remember all the good times with him, he will not be forgotten.

To the Battle family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Everyday at the "Mountain" I would see Mr. James and he would ALWAYS have a smile and hello for anyone he met. We would have our little chats about family and working at Cheyenne Mountain. I will truly miss him and his charm. Rick Wheeler
