He never turned down a chance to go to breakfast or a game of cribbage with family or friends. Jim passed peacefully to heaven after a long battle with lymphoma cancer. Jim was born in Iowa to Everett and Neva (Jones) Crandall. He attended school in Chapin Iowa until he enlisted in the Air Force on his 18th birthday in January 1957-1960 with brother Butch. He worked as a helicopter mechanic. Jim met the love of his life, Carolyn Moore in 1960. They were married August 10, 1963 at the little brown church in Nashua, Iowa. They were blessed with two wonderful children, ZoeAnn (Roy) Horak, Colorado Springs and Stacy William (Trisha) Crandall, St. John's, Florida. Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Celebration of Life is June 21, 2025, 1:00 at Grace Mountain Church, corner of Airport & Chelton.
