James Cullen Obituary

James R. Cullen was born on May 3, 1928 to Susan (Brady) Cullen & James R. Cullen, Sr. in Pennsylvania. He was the eldest of three children, brother Jack(deceased) & sister, Sheila, who survives. He married Grace M. (Strabley) Cullen on September 13, 1951 and was a father of six children; Colleen, Patrick, Terry, Cathy, & Kelley Ann who is deceased. He was also a grandfather of seven; Nicole, Shawna, Ryan, Christopher, Ethan, Maria and Sophia. He is a great-grandfather of one, Jasmine Rose. Jim grew up in Pennsylvania and joined the Air Force in 1950. He served 4 years during the Korean War and delivered 02 aircraft to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After his service he went into business for himself, buying and selling aircraft from different governments from all over the world and also selling aircraft manuals for any aircraft you can name. Jim was a loving husband and father. He always did his very best and never gave up on anything. We will miss him greatly! A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 6:30 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 N. Jefferson, Monument. A Vigil will follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church in Monument. Inurment 11:00 am Thursday, March 4, 2009 at Ft. Logan Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Parkinsons Association.

I have such happy memories of Jimmy visiting our family...his Aunt Helen, Uncle Vic and cousins. God bless him and the entire family, especially Grace.
