I was so shocked and saddened to just recently hear of Rev. Elder's passing; I think I was out of town visiting my own father in El Paso, TX, who isn't well, either, which is why I wasn't aware of it sooner. I want to express our family's deepest condolences to your entire family for your loss. Everyone says things always get a little easier with time, but when its you, I know it just must be extremely hard, and you just have to take it one day at a time. I was very close to Rev. Elder, but hadn't seen him in awhile. He was a blessing to the Christian Community in Colorado Springs; I know he'll be greatly missed.
In God's love,

To the Elders Family.........we will forever be grateful to God for allowing Pastor Elders to teach us on so many occassions about what the Bible has to say to us; in only a manner that Pastor Elders could do.

I am blessed because I was able to purchase one of his books which we continue to learn & study from.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to you all. Our prayer is that God will continue to comfort and keep you in His care.......now, and in the days ahead.

God Bless You...We Love You;

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

I was one of the nurses fortunate enough to take care of Mr. Elder while I was working in Colorado Springs. He was a wonderful person. Even when he didn't feel good, he always had a smile for me. I also got to meet his family and was impressed by their love and attentiveness to him. I am honored to have had the opportunity to know him for the short time I did. God bless you all.
