James Ellison Obituary

James Dean Ellison died peacefully in his home on April 9, 2015 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family who will dearly miss him. Jim was 78 years old and preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ellison and Frances Scott; his sister, Janice and her husband, Dick Harrison.

James is survived by his wife, Joyce; brother, Charles Ellison; three children, James, Jr., Mary, and Michael (Pam) Ellison; two step-children, Robert and Stacy Tucker; three grandchildren, Nicholas Ellison, Amber (Tim) Hays, and Daniel Eick; one great granddaughter, Sidney Hays; and the mother of his children, Nancy.

James, also known as Jim and Coach, was a loving husband, brother, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Jim worked for Clifton Precision through the 1960s, then as a plant manager for Walter Drake and Sons. After that he worked in sales for Electro Mech where he met his future business partner, Dan Dewald. Jim and Dan started Advance Manufacturing, an electronic manufacturing business, in 1985 where he worked until he retired in 2005.

Jim's outgoing, friendly personality, his sense of humor, love of sports and his companionship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
