JAMES "JIM" ALLEN HANNA
January 16, 1944 July 10, 2018
James "Jim" Allen Hanna, age 74 of Colorado Springs, CO, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 10, 2018, just six days prior to the passing of his beloved wife, Carol Ann Hanna, who left this world on Monday, July 16, 2018.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Prior to his illness, he was an avid and talented fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a quick-witted, intelligent man who loved his family and God. He loved to share stories of his past and make his loved ones laugh
He was born January 16, 1944 in Hettinger, ND to the late Alvin Richard Hanna and Opal Maybelle Bohnhoff (Samdal) and grew up in Lead, SD. He was one of 3 brothers and was preceded in death by his brother Lynn Hanna.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tami Lyn Smith (Hanna) of Aurora, CO; son, James Hanna of Aurora, CO; step-daughter, Kindra Griffin of Colorado Springs, CO; step-son Charles Dale of Parker, CO; step-son Scott Shetskie of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Dale and sister-in-law Marie Hanna of Gregory, SD; grandchildren Mindy, Candace, Shanda, Austin, Cody and Brandon; step-grandchildren Dennis, Landon, Vince, Stacey and Crystal; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
A joint funeral service will be held for both Jim and Carol on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Church on the Ranch; 3695 Jeannine Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80917. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church.
