My Dear Friend James~
'Who-da-Man, Hanneman', as we often referred to you. Your beautiful, big and bright smile will forever be etched in our hearts and minds, and remind us of that wonderful spirit that God gifted you, and then you gifted to all who knew you. Thank you for always being a gentleman, with warm and genuine greetings, and a sincerity that thought more of others. Thanks for reminding all of us of our daily duty to help raise each other up, and to see the uniqueness and dignity of all peoples. Thanks for letting us to reflect on our childhood, and the way you thoroughly enjoyed the blissful days of youth. We all yearn to become as children, to see life with an open mind and heart, free from jealousy, want and greed. You were a loyal and good hunting partner, well seasoned for cold windblown days in North Dakota. Your face flush against the wintertime landscape as we sought upland birds, and perhaps the warm respite of home. We were outdoors on Oct. 26, 2008 and my family and I were reflecting on your goodness, smiling and laughing as we told stories of the times with you. There must have been angels that carried your spirit down to us, as we sat in the Illinois prairie. For we did not hear the news of your passing until just this afternoon, Oct. 29. We already miss you terribly, and are only comforted by your Spirit, which is free now to bring us the Touches of God. Thank you, and good-bye...until we meet again.
Forever Love,
Greg, JoAnn, Zak, Jordan, Gunnar, Annie, Austin, Olivia, Quentin, Cameron, Summer and Max Corcoran
P.S. You have the whole world always to carry on your goodness.

James, I miss you so much, and I wish I could be there to say good bye the right way. I pray for your family... As in time this will get better and I know in my heart you are still with us. I will miss you greatly and our deep conversations. God Bless You.

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
