James J. Holland, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean K. Kain, his daughter Cathy, and two sons, Stephen and Patrick and their wives and 7 grandchildren, 4 stepchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
James was a proud union plumber and longtime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 33. Known for his skilled hands and generous heart, he spent many years dedicated to his trade and mentoring others in the profession. James retired from The Broadmoor after 15 years as the Powerhouse Plumbing Manager.
In his free time, James enjoyed working on intricate model trains and restoring old Studebakers—hobbies that reflected his lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Alternative Cremation, 2377 N. Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
James will be remembered for his steady presence, passion for his work, and love for his family. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
