I worked for Captain Lantry in Brooklyn, NY. He was the CO of the USCG Brooklyn Supply Center. I loved working for/with him. I will always remember his tenacity and go get em philosophy. He told me to be aware that he could not hear from one ear so good, so please be aware when we talked, he might slant his head to be able to hear me, but it did not mean he was not understanding. I went on through my civil service career, always keeping in mind...What would of Captain Lantry have said or how would Captain Lantry have reacted. Love the memories Jim. Thanks for your well respected guidance. Miss you man.

Jim was a well-respected soccer referee in the Colorado Springs community. He will be sorely missed. He was a true gentleman and a genial colleague. His devotion to his wife was only one of his many fine qualities.
