I was his private CNA and grew very fond of him. I came to love him like a grandpa. He shared stories with me that I will remember a lifetime. I am grateful that Jim and Theresia chose me above all others to care for this wonderful man. In the time that I did care for Jim, I don't think he ever knew my name as nothing more than "sweetheart". I will miss him very much. Whenever I hear the name sweetheart, I will always think of Jim. Rest in peace my friend.

My father, Joe Ripko "Rip" still speaks of his friend and golf partner, Jim Novy. Through the fog of Alzheimer's it is one of his lasting memories of friendship and admiration. Our hearts go out to family and we pray for light and love to surround all who knew him. Jo Lasky for Joseph Ripko, Col USAF Retired
