Was saddened to read today of Colonel Patterson's passing. I had the pleasure of having him and my own father, Colonel William F. Davis, attend a reunion I hosted in 2002 in Colorado Springs for military personnel formerly stationed in Newfoundland. Those years living on "the rock", in the late 1950s, are fondly remembered. I know Colonel Patterson's son Jock will dearly miss his father, as I do mine, and to him I send my sympathies.

As a long time friend of Jim at Hq Ent AFB and in our retirement years after 1970 (for me) we attended Daedalian meetings together and enjoyed golfing at Eisenhour golf course. What pleasant memories. So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He will be missed by all of his old friends.
