I am also one of Jim's fraternity brothers. We were in the same pledge class and shared a campus apartment in the summer of 1972 or 1973. What a terrific guy! He was always at ease with himself and others, ready to visit over a drink or a meal, and eager to join in whatever activity his friends were up for. He greatly enjoyed life, and I don't recall ever seeing him without a smile on his face. Rest in peace Jim! I am very much looking forward to seeing you again at that banquet He is preparing for us.

There's so many great things I remember about Jim ...his patience, being supportive, being a mentor to us employees, and spending time with some of us to offer guidance. He was a great skier!..and really enjoyed being outdoors and having great times! He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Jim.

Just learned of Pooks death. I was a High School classmate, college roommate and fraternity brother to Jim. This is very sad news. I have tried to reconnect lately just too late. Rest in Peace Jim and thanks for all the memories.

We were truly blessed and priviledged to have had Jim in our lives. We will cherish the memories of hiking with Jim (and Judy Pollack!) We will think of you each time we visit the beaches of Marin and Sonoma counties, Mt. Tam, the East Bay hills, Mt. Diablo, Black Diamond Mines, Morgan Territory, Henry Coe State Park, and all the others.

You could always count on Jim, in or outside of work. At work, if he didn't have an answer, he'd find it. He always had a great story to share. He was always up for a hike or camping. You knew if he was joining us on a camping trip, we were going to eat in style! You will be missed JimP!

A great guy. Jim was my roommate for the Portland dragon boat trip one year. We had so much fun. From time to time, I would see him during lunch. Can spot him from a distance because of his big smile. A big teddy bear! We all will miss him.

Sometimes, if you are lucky, you get the chance to meet a person who makes the world a better place just by being in it. Jim was one of those people. I was so fortunate to know Jim for 10 years; his death leaves a hole in my life and an ache in my heart.

Jim was such a good listener.I only hope that wherever he is he knows how much he was loved & appreciated.I knew Jim since 1989 and it's hard to believe that he isn't available for walks and talks anymore.

I worked with Jim for years. He was one of those 'working' supervisors. He was greatly appreciated by those of us who knew what a 'working' supervisor really meant. As long as I've known Jim (at least 10 yrs), he was always willing to go above and beyond.
