James Quick Obituary

James (Jim) Milton Quick, age 70, a longtime Colorado Springs, Colorado resident passed away on June 16, 2010 at the Mountain View Care Center in Colorado Springs. James was born on May 4, 1940 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Frederick Milton and Lorene Elizabeth (Moody) Quick. In his younger years, he worked as a mechanic for Continental Trailways Bus in Colorado Springs and then for the City of Fountain, also as a mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and long rides in the mountains. James is survived by his children; Barbara Pederson of Pampa, Texas; Carol Erbele of Radcliffe, Kentucky; Suzanne Quick of Fort Collins, Colorado; Nancy Durham of La Quinta, California; Daniel Quick of Arizona; Dianna DiGregorio of Guffey, Colorado; one sister, Joan Forson of Jacksboro, Texas and by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his infant daughter, Tammy Lorene; his brother, Lloyd Quick and his former wife and mother of his children, Charlene Ann. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Marian House, 14 West Bijou St., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Marian House in honor of James Quick.

Dad, I miss you very much. I will cherish the memories of when I was small. You would take us fishing off the Santa Monica Pier.

I will miss my Father very much, and I long for the simpilar times of my early youth when I would watch my Father sort through his old Wooden tackle box, he too seemed to be longing for a time from his past, perhaps fishing with his friends at Redondo Pier.
