James Hugh Shannon was born September 25th, 1957, to Herminia and Benjamin Shannon in Trinidad, Colorado. Jim was a master carpenter and just started a business with his wife Cherina as Wildland fire support contractors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cherina; his son, Justin Shannon; sister, Judy Shannon; stepchildren, Andrew, Jacob, and Madison Avis; two grandsons, Wyatt and Riley Avis; and many cousins. He will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.

Jim you were a one of a kind,& I thank you for adoreing my best friend cherina like no other she is so happy to of married you & we both miss you so very much ...you will never be forgotten.
