James Shepp Obituary

James (Jim) Shepp passed away peacefully on the 1st of November 2009 after losing his battle against cancer. Jim was born in Morgan County, Mo. He attended high school at the Versailles High School. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years having achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He also retired from Martin/Marietta after 18-1/2 years as a Database Manager. Jim leaves behind his wife Helga of 20 years, a son Mark Shepp, and four daughters; Kimberly Ann (Greg) Senert of Warrenton, Mo; Jodie Lynn (Paul) Bogacik of Orlando, Fl; Kimberly Mardelle (Michael) Adkinson of Winter Springs, Fl; and Lori Ann Armbrust of Wadsworth, Oh. Jim is also survived by seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Gloria Cox, the mother of his children, a sister, Martha Jo (Mike) Ward, and a brother, Ed (Kathy) Shepp. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Earnest and Josephine (Francis) Shepp and a brother, Gary. Jim was an amateur photographer having contributed to Kal la Na News in Lampong, Thailand as well as the Pacific Stars and Stripes. He enjoyed family and friends of which there were many and we will all miss him. In lieu of gifts the family has suggested that donations be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

We only heard of Jim's passing yesterday (Nov. 6). We had missed him at the neighborhood meetings and had no idea he was ill. We are so sorry for your loss, Helga.

We were sorry to hear about Jim's death. It was so good of him to look us up last spring when he was in Missouri, we had a really good visit. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.
