James Alfred Weber passed away suddenly at home on August 16, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on August 27, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, 5485 Hopalong Trail, Colorado Springs, CO.



Jim was born in Shepard, Montana, to Alfred and Helen Weber on September 3, 1935. He graduated from Billings Senior High School in Billings, Montana, in 1953. He attended Montana State College in Bozeman, Montana, earning degrees in General Science in 1958 and in architecture in 1961. He married wife Dixie Rae McMullin on September 12, 1958, in San Jose, CA. He worked for Drake, Gustafson, and Associates in Billings, Montana, before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he worked for Lemar Kelsey and Associates. From there, he went on to work for almost 40 years as an associate, partner, and principal owner of Concepts West Architecture. He was licensed to practice in Montana and Colorado as well as 16 other states. He retired in 2010. Jim spent the last few years caring for his wife Dixie, who has Alzheimer's.



Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Helen Weber, and sisters, Jane Weber and Dory Weber. He leaves behind his wife of almost 63 years, Dixie Weber; his children, Steven Weber, Kenneth Weber with wife Monique Weber, and Sandra Sherwood with husband Kurt Sherwood; and his grandchildren, Chris Sherwood, Justin Sherwood with wife Alyssa Sherwood, Nathan Sherwood, Austin Weber, and Logan Weber.



In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
