James Edward Williams, age 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. James was born January 21, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loyal and Helen Williams, his sister, Brenda Williford and his son, Travis Williams. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Marie Williams, his brother, Jerry Williams, his children, Tobey Williams, Teresa Mauter, Angie Kelley, Thomas Baker and Linda Zwach, his 10 grandchildren and his 13 great-grandchildren.
His business career started at the Daily Oklahoman Newspaper and ended at Wendy's of Colorado Springs. His favorite genre of music was classic country, he also loved Elvis, Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline. His favorite color was blue. His favorite pastimes and hobbies were working out, doing puzzles and going to garage sales. He loved his dogs, was an OU Sooners fan and loved collecting antique cast iron banks.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 23rd at 10:30am at First Southern Baptist Church, 1409 Palmer Park Blvd Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909. A Grave side service will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later time.
