Jan Elson Knupp, age 77, passed away on June 7, 2022 at home surrounded by his family in Aurora, Colorado. Jan was born on December 9, 1944 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to parents Delbert William Knupp and Esther Jean Knupp.
Jan is preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Ann Knupp, parents, Delbert and Esther Knupp and sisters, Linnea Coleman and Karen Knupp.
Those left behind to honor Jan's memory are daughter, Kelly G. Knupp (David Fox), son, Adam L. Knupp (Courtney), grandchildren, Matthew Fox, Peter Fox, Andrew Fox, Myla Knupp, Grant Knupp, Eli Knupp and siblings, Kay Peterson, Cheryl Hickle, Greg Knupp, Keith Knupp and Alita Knupp.
Jan received a Bachelor's Degree from the California State College, Pennsylvania.
Jan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and earned the rank of Major before retiring after 20 years of service. After retiring from the Air Force Jan became a cabinet maker.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday June 15, 2022 at 2:00PM at Black Forest Lutheran Church, 12455 Black Forest Rd. Colorado Springs, CO 80908.
