Jane Dalition Obituary

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jane Dalition passed into God's loving embrace on July 5, 2006 after a valiant 9-month battle with cancer. Jane was born to Robert H. Crowder and Vena Bryan in Colorado Springs on October 29, 1938. She graduated from high school in Colorado Springs, Stephens College in Columbia, MO and the University of Colorado, Boulder where she was an active Delta Gamma sorority member. Working as a United Airlines flight attendant, she met the love of her life, George Dalition. She and George married seven months after meeting, and she spent the following 45 wonderful years as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband, her children: Lieutenant Colonel David Dalition and his wife, Lisa; Mitch Dalition; and Meg Bakich and her husband, Huntley; her niece Kristin Crowder Townshend and her husband, Michael; and 15 beloved grandchildren. She was predeceased by two of her beautiful, precious children, George Dalition, Jr. and Linda Dalition Adanalian. Jane devoted her life to her family. Her every waking moment was dedicated to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Jane approached each day with joy and enthusiasm. As Jane recently said, "I have had a great life." She was cherished by her family and friends. She was treasured by her husband, respected and loved by her children, and admired and adored by her grandchildren. Jane will be remembered for her love of life, her devotion to family and friends, her radiating smile and uplifting spirit, her inherent goodness, and her genuine interest and care for all those around her. Jane mastered the art of finding happiness by always: "Making a bouquet of the flowers within her reach. "Viewing will be at Farewell 660 W. Locust in Fresno on July 11th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:15 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church 5770 N. Maroa Ave. in Fresno on July 12th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Pardinis Banquet Hall 2257 W. Shaw Ave. in Fresno. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Ararat Cemetery. Remembrances may be sent to Make A Wish Foundation of San Joaquin Valley, 83 E. Shaw Ave., Fresno, CA 93710
