Dear Aunty Janice,
I have been thinking about you a lot these last few days, how I wish I could have seen you one last time in this life. I can still see your smiling face and hear your voice, I miss and love you very much. Below is a poem I found that I would like to share with you.
Love you

Gone Too Soon - by Joe Ward
Words cannot describe the loss I feel
Saying farewell to you,
But heaven chose to give you wings
And now it's time you flew.
I wish that we could have more time,
That God had let you stay.
Forever would not be long enough
But I would take one day.
I wish I had just one more chance
To see that tender smile,
To laugh with you again my dear
Just for a little while.
Gone too soon, but not forgotten,
Forever you will remain,
My guiding light, my shining star,
Until I see your face again.

This prayer I found on the internet encapsulates the thoughts and feelings i would like to convey when thinking of my two dear aunties. They were close sisters and dear friends to each other.
Heavenly Father, as we gather to celebrate Christmas, our hearts are heavy with the loss of our dear Janice and Valerie.
We miss their presence, their laughter, and the love they brought into our lives.
We pray that they are at peace in your loving arms, surrounded by eternal joy. Please comfort us in our grief and help us to find peace and strength during this time. Remind us of the joy they brought and the precious memories we shared, and help us to honor their legacy by living with the same kindness and love they showed us.
May we feel their presence among us today as a reminder that love never ends. Grant us the strength to celebrate this season with both sorrow for our loss and gratitude for the gift of having known and loved them.
In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

Dear Aunty Janice,
I think of you often, the kind, funny, generous and loving person that you were in this life and I believe with all my heart that you are still with us albeit in the next life.
This past year will be full of many difficult `firsts´ for your beloved family, the first time you were not physically present for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and many other special events. I hope the Bartlows and Custers and your close friends can take some comfort knowing you were there in loving spirit.
I send my love, prayers and blessings to you and all that know and love you.
God bless.

Jan is one of the loveliest people I will ever know. She remembered things about people, and this was good at making you know you matter. Many fond memories with the Aussie/Kiwi Club, my wedding shower and wedding, and then baby shower. Blessed to have known her.

My memories of Jan are long and wonderful. We first met when I turned up, a solo Aussie gal, at the Aussie Kiwi club meeting in 1997. She always went out of her way to say g´day and made me feel welcome. As my life evolved she always asked after whoever I had in tow, either my children as they made their appearances, or my dad, or even my husband, Will. Goodbye my friend, you are missed. My deepest sympathy to Bill and family.

Bill and family..from the Australian and New Zealand group we wish to say how much we will miss Jan. She had been a member of our group for many years. Like you said she was always the perfect hostess and we looked forward to her special shortbread treat. She was a wonderful friend to all of us. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I so loved our Aussie/New Zealand get togethers once a month. We spent time having lunch with friends and co-hosting our coffee's together. We are both proud Kiwi's and I loved the friendship we shared. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Bill and the family. Jan will be greatly missed.
