Jason Lamb Obituary

To remember Jason is to fill your heart with love and laughter. Jason’s sense of humor captured all who knew him. When he was tickled, we’d all hear that child-like giggle that grew to a side-splitting, highly contagious laugh. Jay was funny, sensitive, sarcastic, and he had an enormous heart he could turn a room full of strangers into lifelong friends! Jason was a unique individual who fulfilled every role he was asked to assume. He was an awesome son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, homie and daddy. Those who worked with Jason respected his demeanor and diligence. He finished every task he ever started, and never asked more of others than he was willing to do himself. He was passionate about his career at Target that began when he was in high school. He found many friends in his Target family, including his new-found love, Christine. Jason was born February 28, 1977 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Jan and George Lamb, who survive. He has an older brother, Jim, who now resides in Michigan with his wife and two daughters, and a younger sister, Jessi, who still lives in Colorado Springs. Jason’s daughter, his one true love, is Lily Ann; she lives in Texas with her mother. Jason is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Both sets of grandparents and two aunts preceded Jason in death. Sadly, for all of us who loved Jason, he left us on May 5, 2009, after a very brief illness. Growing up, Jason enjoyed camping, hunting and playing baseball with his many friends. The guys are still avid sports fans who enjoy hanging out and sharing laughs with each other and their families. Our tight bonds meant that we all knew Jason was always available for fun times (especially if there was a Bronco game involved), a big bear hug, a listening ear or that endearing laugh. He is truly a soul to admire, respect and remember. He will remain forever in our hearts, and we will miss him always. A memorial service for Jason will be held on May 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice on Jason’s behalf.

Jan, George, and Jessi,

I was so sad to hear about your loss. I didn't get to be around Jason much in his adult life, but I remember all the fun we had when we camped (remember bug ear) and when you all visited us in California. I always knew how he was doing by talking to you and you have so much to be proud of. He was a wonderful son, brother and father, a hard worker and as others have said, enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by all and I am glad I had the chance to know him.

My deepest sympathy,

Kenna and Jerry Leonhardt

When I moved here I had the toughest time finding a job, but Jason saw the potential in me and hired me on at 71st where I worked with him for over 3 years then transferred along with him to the Broken Arrow store. He rarely passed by without a comment to make me smile. He was always willing to help out with anything I needed and made Target a better place to be. He was a great manager, but did not let it keep him from having a good time with us and seeing his true spirit. I am still in shock over the loss ....my heart aches as I think of his family and daughter. I hope she will be able to truly grasp how wonderful her father was. Target itself has to move forward, but the people there will never forget you and the impact you had on us. Thank you so much for all you did in life

I worked with Jason for many years. I got to know him on a personal level and work level. He was by far the hardest working manager at Target. He was a mentor and someone I looked up to. I am sorry that I missed the opportunity to say good-bye, but there will not be a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts. RIP "J".

Jason was a special person. He lit up a room when he walked in. He had a way of making people smile, even if they were having a bad day. It was touching to see how much he loved his daughter. He was loved so much by so many people. I feel blessed to have gotten to know him and not a day will go by that I won't think about him. Things just won't be the same without you Jason.

To the family of Jason Lamb and his girlfriend,Christine. I was one of Jason's Store Managers, I worked with Jason for 2 years. In those two years I got to know Jason very well, he spoke very highly of his family, sister brother and Mom and Dad. I remember when I lost my own father, Jason was very empathic to my fathers death, and he mentioned "I don't know what I would do if I ever lost my parents" He was truly a family man and loved you all very dearly. It is true what everyone says....he worked hard, and would never ask any one to do anything he would not do himself, and most of the time he was working right along with the person he asked to do a job. He was great leader, with a kind heart. He could see the potential in everyone, and always had a smile, and a great laugh! I will always remember Jason because he taught this old Store Team Leader how to text! I could always count on a great job, and rest easy knowing Jason was running the store, he always tried to exceed my expectations. We had many conversations outside Target on break that I will cherish....R.I.P. to a great guy....

I worked with Jason at the Target on 21st and Yale and transfered to T-1782 when it 1st opened. He helped me be a better leader by showing me how to be kind to others and help others become there best by sharing my knowledge with others instead of keeping it to myself. Jason was always there when anyone need help and was a true friend. I left Target in 2007 and went there frequintly to visit Jason and others that I use to work with. He will be forever in my heart as a good hearted friend and I will never forget him. My thoughts and Prayers are with the family.

Jason-wow, I don't know how to describe him. He was the manager that hired me. He made me feel at ease for having my 1st job in retail. He was the coolest, by far one of the best bosses I could have ever asked for. He would never ask you to do something that he wouldn't help you with. Giving, always. The entire family is in my thoughts and prayers. He will truly be missed!
