Jason McCargar Obituary
May 8, 1974 - March 18, 2013
Resident of San Rafael
Jason Daniel McCargar passed suddenly from this world on March 18th. Jason grew up in Walnut Creek, graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Chemical Engineering, and made his home in Concord, then San Rafael. All his life, Jason pursued various interests with vigor, committing hard work to each endeavor, employing his wealth of talent to learn and build upon an ever-expanding repertoire of skills and arts.
He was a prolific artist, horticulturist, incredibly capable handyman, and an excellent chef, professionally and at home. He was a childhood computer whiz who found professional success and established an IT consulting business, "Redstar Computers." Markstein Beverages in Pittsburg had employed him for several years prior, and he was currently employed by Innovative Moldings in Rohnert Park.
Jason was devoted to his family. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his youthful sweetheart and loving wife of 16 years, Stephanie, beautiful daughter Adrianna, parents David and Catherine, brothers Jonathan (Joanna) and Stephen, sister Melanie, nieces Kaylee and Emily, extended family, and longtime friends Brian Soldavini (Adam) and James Sutton (Wendy).
Memorial service: Wed. April 3, 11 AM at Grace Bible Church in Pleasant Hill. Friends welcome.

I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Jason, but his beautiful, funny, smart and loving daughter Adrianna is my daughter's friend. I can only imagine what a great father he was to have such a wonderful daughter.

Jason was one of our first babysitters. The boys loved him because he understood the youthful energy and sense of adventure. He didn't realize we had self locking doors and they all ended up locked out of the house. How did they all grow up so fast?!
