Jean Chladek of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away at the age of 83, on May 30, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was born October 5, 1939, to Anna and Peter Billie in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Jean went to high school at Allen (Allentown) High School and graduated in 1957. She went on to attend Bryant College of Business Administration in Providence, Rhode Island where she earned a bachelors degree in Secretarial Science. Jean worked in the billing division at the Bethlehem Steel Company.
Jean married Michael Chladek, the love of her life, in 1961. Together, they would embark on Michael's career in the Air Force which would take them to Colorado Springs, Tokyo, Japan, and Washington DC, always returning to Colorado Springs, the place they called home.
Jean enjoyed being a housewife and mother to her two sons. Over the years she also enjoyed reading and volunteering.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Anna and Peter Billie; and her husband of 61 years, Michael Chladek.
Jean is survived by her brother, Ronald Billie; sister-in-law, Paulette Billie; sons, David and Jay Chladek; daughters-in-law, Tina and Susanne Chladek; and grandchildren, Stephanie Schliesser, Anna, Alaina and Nathaniel Chladek; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a loving wife and mother who loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Compassus Hospice care.
