Jeanette Kellar Obituary

Jeannette Kellar, 86, of Colorado Springs, passed away April 10, 2015. Wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born October 11, 1928, in North Powder, Oregon, to William Ernest and Vivian Clare McGrath Davis. The second of five children, she grew up on the John W. Davis ranch, four miles west of North Powder.



Jeannette married Robert H. Kellar on November 25, 1956, in Baker, Oregon. His military career took the family all over the world, from Germany and France back to the U.S., including Maryland, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, and Nebraska before making their home in Colorado Springs. She received her Master of Education at Lesley College in 1987.

Jeannette is survived by her loving husband, Robert, her three daughters, Michelle Ann Vinson, Kimber Lee Haley, and Kelly Lynn Beavor; and three grandchildren, Allan Robert, Robert George, and Cambria Nicole, as well as two siblings, Jessie Lou Cox of Spokane, Washington, and William Fred Davis of Nampa, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 17, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado
