Jeanine MacNeill Obituary

Jeanine (Jean) MacNeill passed away peacefully to join her love of 62 years, Charlie, on Valentines Day, February 14.

Jeanine was born May 28, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Bruno and Jessica Bogosh. She married Charles (Charlie) Edward MacNeill February 6, 1954 in Boston. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1954 and had 4 children.

She had many jobs through the years and finally found her niche in Real Estate. She was ambitious and enjoyed helping people find the perfect place.

Jean loved music, art and was very creative. She'd sew, knit, wallpaper, tile, upholster and make things. Her mind was always on her next project.

Jean and Charlie loved to travel and went to many great locations (42 countries) around the world. They loved going to Cripple Creek and had a cabin in Colorado Mountain Estates so they could enjoy nature and play in Cripple Creek.

In later life, she had various challenges to her health, yet she always had an amazing spirit and positive attitude.

Her laughter could light up a room and her wit and sense of humor were priceless.

Jean is survived by her four children - Tom MacNeill and Terri Kelly of Gleneagle, Beth Brickell (Pat Christianson) of Woodland Park, and Bill MacNeill (Jamie) of Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren - Aaron McGuire of Victoria, TX, Brett Brickell of Colo Spgs, Christina Brickell (John) of Key West, FL, Jill Simonds (Greg) of Ft. Collins, Ryan Kelly of Gleneagle, Brett Moore (Michelle) of Albuquerque, NM, Ben VanOrnum (Sonia) of Colo Spgs, Casey MacNeill of Colo Spgs ; and two great-grandchildren - Camdyn and Leighton Simonds with one on the way. She also has a brother, Roger Bogosh.

The family extends a special gratitude to Lori Soto-Smith for the loving care she provided Jean and Charlie during their final years.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents and 3 siblings.
