Mary McMillian-Wallace Obituary

CONCORD - Mary Jane McMillian-Wallace, 69, of 127 Ervin Avenue N.W. died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Beulah Baptist Church, 249 Hilltop Avenue S.W. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. R.V. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late Leroy McMillian and the late Minnie Gilmore. She was educated in the Cabarrus County School System. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she served as a dedicated worker in the kitchen until her death. Survivors include her daughters, Diane McMillian of Tampa, Fla. and Barbara Ann White of Concord; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; seven sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
